Wrap a rag around the coolant hose and disconnect it from the reservoir, letting any coolant in the hose drain into the drain pan. If a cooling system is working properly there should always be coolant filled to the top of the radiator when the cap is taken off. I can get about 120 miles out of it till it overheats/runs out of coolant.

Discussion starter · #1 · nov 23, 2008 (edited) after driving on a road course yesterday i noticed that my coolant reservoir was overflowing and spraying coolant around in the engine bay, even though the whole time i was out there i was way below half on the temperature gauge (car has always run cool), and the fluid wasn't boiling. Had a hona specialist check the compression and tested good.
