Dodge 3.6 Coolant Leak Under Intake. I searched a bit and i didnt find an answer here ? I am thinking the water pump is leaking but i cant find any coolant or wetness under the pump or on the motor mount.

There's no coolant ports on the heads, it would need to be from the heater hoses that run on the passenger side (where #5 cyl is), or from the coolant hose at the oil cooler, or the cooler itself (under the intake). It is in the valley between the cylinder heads (the oil filter is on top of it) it can go bad and leak coolant into the valley.

It will take a pretty big leak to fill up the valley before it. I looked under the hood and couldnt find any clamps or anything to be showing signs of leakage.

I've been losing coolant on my 3.6 v6 cayenne at a fairly slow rate compared to the other more common issue. It is in the valley between the cylinder heads (the oil filter is on top of it) it can go bad and leak coolant into the valley.

The leak should have nothing to do with the t/stat, but it could be filling the #5 spark plug tube with coolant, and causing the code due to the ignition coil arcing. I have a 2012 grand caravan 3.6l vvt, flex fuel van that has a coolant leak.
